Peter Lee was Bruce Lee’s eldest brother. He was born in 1938, two years before Bruce. Peter was a bright student and excelled in academics. He was also a natural athlete and loved playing soccer. Peter was very protective of his younger siblings, and he was the one who introduced Bruce to martial arts.
Peter began studying Wing Chun under the legendary Ip Man when he was just sixteen. He was so impressed with what he learned that he taught Bruce some of the basics when he was only thirteen. Bruce was a fast learner, and he quickly picked up the art of Wing Chun. Peter continued to train and teach Bruce until he left for the United States in 1958.
